About
Roborough Methodist Church has been worshipping in the present building for over 50 years (see history page for more details) but that does not mean that we have stood still. The church has more people attending worship and becoming members than ever before. The church looks a bit like a smaller village church from the outside but internally it has been modernised. The church is warm and comfortable and has full access for those with disabilities (including a loop system and a toilet for the disabled). There is a small car park, ample local parking, level access and it is close to bus routes.
The church is alive with the love of the Lord Jesus which is available for all. If you would like to find out more about this please ask at a local church or come along and meet us. During morning worship a mixture of modern and old hymns and songs are used (from Hymns and Psalms, Mission Praise or Singing the Faith). All of the words are projected but hymn books are also available. The style of worship can be informal but formal at times. We are there for you at all stages of life. The church is licensed for weddings - and Baptisms and Funeral services may also be held at the church by arrangement with the Pastor (07152 695265.) We offer All Age worship at various times, including at Harvest Festival, and our Nativity Service on the second Sunday in December. A Traditional Carol Service is always held on Christmas Eve at 7pm. The church is part of the Plymouth and Devonport Methodist Circuit which in turn is part of the Plymouth and Exeter Methodist District which is part of the Methodist Church of Great Britain. Roborough Methodist is led by Pastor Janet Dobinson |
